Banned Books 2005

As I noted on my own blog - Banned Books Week starts this Saturday, September 24th.

J.K. Rowling is number 4 on the 'Top Ten Challenged Authors 1990 - 2004'.

'2004's Most Challenged Authors', Phylis Naylor who writes the very cool 'Alice' series was the most challenged author of 2004. WHAT?! Those books are so funny! Dav Pilkey creator of the 'The Captain Underpants' series was the 8th most challenged author of 2004. 'Captain Underpants?' The reasons cited are for offensive language and modeling bad behavior WHAT? 'But Captain Underpants is a 5 or 6 year old kid. Is he making bombs? Planning to overthrow a government?

I'm still having a hard time that the 'Where's Waldo' books were challenged.

I need to lie down.

Hmmm.... my speech would be on 'Non-Magical Communication: The Exhaustive Muggle Way of Staying in the Loop.' I 'spose I would have to do demos. Telephones, cellphones, computers with email.... I must think on this some more.

My Dear Watson

So after donating more money to the Warner Bros Harry Potter fund *I saw POA at the IMAX theatre in town,* I think what inthe next books....

Hermione is/will be the greatest witch. Not just booksmart either. Or it will be Harry.

Harry is either going to die or become a squib when he & ole Voldemorte finally duke it out.

Harry will be able to contact Sirius or Sirius will try to contact Harry... I'm not really sure which.

Those are my theories and I'm sticking to 'em.
