So no Hermione, no Cho.... that leaves us with Ginny and possibly Luna Lovegood. We know that Hermione & Ron are possibly going to happen. Straight out of JK Rowling's mouth, well she at least has hinted heavily, strongly even... And we know Cho is pretty fickle or at least not thinking Harry is deserving of her attention. That leaves the sisterly Ginny and new character Luna Lovegood.
At the end of the OOTP I definitely was thinking that something was/is going to happen between Harry & Luna.
And just for the record I don't think the movies are canon, the books are. It's the exact opposite for Star Wars... those movies are canon.
